What we learnt about the challenge of being an NHS blogger

13:20, Tuesday 16 November 2010

There are some who suppose that connecting with people online is a substitute for face to face contact. The truth is that the more we chat to people through tools like blogs and Twitter, the more we look forward to actually meeting the people we are getting to know remotely. Today we held a workshop for our NHS local bloggers, which was delightful because we got to share coffee and talk, in the flesh, with some of our talented team.

Which would you most like to be 'fat', 'obese' or 'overweight'?

Tell us how we could improve NHS local

17:23, Tuesday 09 November 2010

We are due to roll out a number of changes to NHS local and would appreciate feedback on your experience. Over the next few weeks the site will be redesigned based on feedback and user research. We take all feedback very seriously and have begun to alter the service to improve your experience. Many of these changes will be added gradually to limit the disruption to the service. However, there maybe a few technical issues. We would appreciate you telling us of any problems so we can quickly fix them.

Reboot the NHS? There's an app for that!

17:25, Wednesday 03 November 2010

NHS local is expanding its health applications section and is keen to work with any up and coming developers who would be interested in creating new apps for the site. We are keen to offer more web, flash or mobile applications. If you are developing an app that provides a solution to an every day health issue, we can promote it on the site and get feedback from a large audience.
