We're looking to you to be pioneers - pioneers of a cultural change within the NHS in the West Midlands.   The culture of the NHS is one in which conversations have happened in private - one person emailing another, maybe copying another person in.   Some people might subscribe to mailing lists. Some of the braver might take part in discussion groups.

NHS West Midlands responds to Patient Opinion(s)

It as great to see NHS managers and frontline staff seeing how they can use the web to respond to patients through the pioneering service Patient Opinion. Patient Opinion is a website that is all about enabling patients to share their experiences of health care, and by doing so help other patients, and perhaps even change the way the NHS does things.

How I missed my slice of hyperlocal cake (with apologies to hyperlocalgovcamp WM)

Unfortunately I missed out on attending an event called hyperlocalgovcamp WM  for which I hang my head in shame. This event ran in Walsall on Wednesday October 6 and formed part of a national drive to connect local bloggers with local Government officials such as City or County Council employees.
