When PTCs are abolished and replaced by GP-led NHS services - what is going to happen to all the existing relationships between PCTs and the public?

Over the years, and sometime at great cost, ties have been built up both formally and informally between PCTs and the community though patient groups, carers' groups, enthusiastic passionate NHS representatives and community members.

The primary aim of NHS local is to improve health care in the West Midlands. In reaching for that goal, we appear to have the same aspirations as those calling for new ways of doing journalism.

For a health service reform that is putting patients at the heart of everything it does, there has been very little comment from patients themselves about Andrew Lansley’s White Paper.

We decided to trawl the web to find what is being said about the “no decision about me without me” mantra by patients or those that represent them.
