Good Hope Hospital is looking for locals passionate about art and music to help expand its programme for patients.

The hospital’s arts team relies on volunteers to deliver art and music projects to patients on the wards.

The arts and craft projects include knitting and drawing, activities for patients which aid in helping them recover and express themselves whilst in hospital.

Sarah McGrory, arts co-ordinator, said: "Patients really love the arts and crafts projects we offer them, particularly when they’re recovering on the ward with little to do.

"It gives them an outlet for their energy and really allows them to express themselves.

"We’re looking for anyone who might be able to help us facilitate this, either by helping with the exhibitions, art cart or hosting workshops for patients and providing music."

If you would like to volunteer, or for more information, please contact Janet Pratt on 0121 424 1103 email or janet.pratt@heartofengland.nhs.uk.
